In 2006, Dana Alexander took her over 25 years of business development and financial recruiting experience in the Portland area and founded Alexander Connections (AC). She wanted to finally do what she had encouraged countless others to do… follow their passion! She realized her passion was helping people get connected in Portland. While realizing that there was no way to monetize that, she could still spend the majority of her time helping people network and connect in Portland while providing businesses with the outsourced accounting and finance services that they needed. She wasn't necessarily passionate about accounting and finance, but she was good at it! Her passion for helping both people and businesses grow and become more successful has taken root with AC.

Prior to AC, Dana spent over 15 years as a Commercial Relationship Officer with U.S. Bank. After determining there probably was life outside of banking, she then spent over 8 years as the Vice President of Business Development for On-Site Financial, and was instrumental in growing the company from $400k in revenue to over $5.5m. It was during these years that Dana realized she had a passion for making perfect matches. Matches that not only place the right candidate for the right job, but matches the right person to the right cultural atmosphere, allowing both the person and the company the opportunity to thrive. Dana's consultative and collaborative approach has been the cornerstone of her past success, and is the building block of her current successes.

As a Portland native, and being highly involved in the Portland business and non-profit community, Dana's network of "connections" is vast. She laughs that her real office is the mass number of coffee shops she continually meets people in to get know them and their needs better. Coffee house, golf course, or a social event, Dana always finds time to create a new connection, whether it's for a client or a job seeker or just someone who needs a referral for another business from her large network of contacts.
